Duplicate PowerPoint Templates in Popular Items

Hello Envato Team,

As a long-time subscriber to Envato Elements, I regularly use PowerPoint templates for my work. However, I’ve recently noticed a concerning trend in the “Popular” section of presentation templates. Many PowerPoint templates appear to be duplicated across different formats such as PowerPoint (PPTX), Keynote, and Google Slides, but instead of being available as one item with multiple format options, they are uploaded as separate items.

This duplication clutters the marketplace, making it more difficult for users to browse through unique content. Moreover, it creates the impression that there are more items than there actually are, when in reality, it’s often the same template under different file extensions.

Additionally, I’ve noticed that many templates labeled “New” are already featured in the “Popular” category, which adds to the confusion. This issue is not limited to a single author but appears to be common practice among several, if not many, authors.

As someone who frequently relies on Envato for work presentations, this has become a frustrating experience. Other platforms, like Canva, do not seem to have this issue of obvious duplication, which makes their browsing experience far smoother and more efficient.

I hope the team can address this issue, as it would greatly improve the user experience for those of us who depend on Envato for quality content.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,
Geva

Just use the filters right from the start to get straight to the application you’re using, for example, check the Keynote filter. If you need a PPTX file that works on PowerPoint, Google Slides, and can be imported into Keynote, you can download my template at fibrinosa - Envato Elements
