CodeCanyon WordPress Plugin with Source Code Obfuscation in PHP files

Hi,

I just purchased a WordPress plugin on CodeCanyon which had some of the PHP files contain obfuscated code. The main functions file (121kb) for the plugin is completely obfuscated.

I have never seen this before in any plugins or themes that I have purchsed from CodeCanyon or ThemeForest.
Is this allowed under the Marketplace Rules?

As far as I’m aware, that is not allowed… but the rules could have changed.
