AudioJungle: February email campaign nominations.

In February of last year, our Envato email marketing team ran one of our most successful campaigns ever. In fact, it was so successful that we’re getting ready to do it all over again. Nominations are now open for our authors to get involved

What’s happening?

Over the next month, Envato’s marketing team will be launching two dedicated email sends featuring a selection of free and discounted file pairings.

These email sends will be delivered to a super-engaged subscriber list of over 600,000 customers, making this an awesome opportunity for you to boost sales to your files and traffic to your portfolio.

In this campaign, we are wanting to feature two files from each author.

File 1) A file at a discount from 40% of its Original Price.

File 2) A free file.

Items will be promoted listing their applicable discounts in one of two sends:

The first send on the 14th of February.

Or…

The second send on the 23rd of February.

When completing your nomination form, you will be asked to indicate whether you are nominating your file for one or both of these sends.

We’re looking for a total of eight authors and sixteen files to be featured across the two emails. Files will be selected at random from a shortlist that meets our criteria…

By nominating for this promotion, you are choosing to set your price to 40% of its Original Price, for a 7-day period from time of the campaign launch. The included buyer fee will not change. More information on how to calculate prices with buyer fees is available here. If selected, the free file will be reduced to $0.

Want to be in the shortlist for inclusion? Read the instructions below carefully….

*Most Importantly: You must be the author of the item you’re submitting

:white_check_mark: What we’re looking for

  • Items that are high quality and up-on-trend
  • Items that have a minimum 10+ sales
  • Items that have been well-received by customers

:x: What we’re NOT looking for:

  • Items that are dated and not on-trend
  • Items that have been poorly rated

How do I take part?

Make sure you have read and understood our requirements above.

  1. Please also read our FAQs and terms - you can also use the FAQ thread to ask us any other questions you may have. We will continue to update and maintain those questions on an ongoing and as-needed basis.

  • We will provide information about how and when your item price will be changed. See our FAQ page for full details.
  • Selected items will be promoted on either the 14th of February
Or the 23rd of February (AEDT), prices will be promoted as valid for 7 days from the date of the send.

I wish I could submit a nomination @matthewcoxy. However, the RATING REQUIREMENT restricts me from participating again. Buyers rarely take the time to rate products. They are busy, time constrained, and many probably don’t even think about it at the time of purchase. I think it is fair to say that, with no rating, the assumption should be the product is well-received. This is because an irate customer more than likely would take the time to give a poor rating.

I like how you stated, “What we’re looking for” - Items that have been well-received by customers. Likewise, “What we’re NOT looking for” - Items that have been poorly rated. This says it well. Given the situation where a limited number of ratings are given by customers, it is appropriate to assume the customers are satisfied with the purchased products. Therefore, I believe the items I wish to nominate (+10 sales but not enough ratings to show on my Item Page AND no poor ratings submitted) have been well-received.

However, the nominating form states the rating must be shown on the Item Page; indicating that at least 3 separate ratings are required. Again, I contend that the products I wish to nominate have been well-received by customers - no negative ratings. I’m sure many other authors are in the same situation. Please revisit this limiting requirement for nominations. I would appreciate it if you could pass this request onto the appropriate Envato group for review. Thanks.

@MidnightSnap Hey mate, check the requirements.

We don’t require ratings for AJ items. We ask for ratings (if any) in the form submission, as the form is the same for all authors, but we won’t be considering them for AJ files.

My bad. I saw the stated requirements posted here, but assumed that ratings were mandatory since it was a required input in the nomination form. Thank you for the clarification.

No stress. I’ve amended the form to remove confusion.

I agree with @MidnightSnap. I would also like to nominate the files I think are appropriate, but unfortunately they don’t have a rating. It is a pity that such demands don’t give a chance to young authors.

cant fill out form unless you say what the rating is…

Yup, required field. I have an item that has sold well but have neither ratings nor comments. Customers just don’t take the time to comment or rate.

Thanks folks, I’ve added a “No rating” option, which you can choose for that question.

Thank a lot!)

Could you tell me, please, what I have to point if my item was 5-star rated just from one customer? “No rating” or “5 star”?

Hey folks,

Just looping back on this one. The team has made their selections.

For the first campaign we selected:

@Benzosonix

And the second:
