2020 Envato Mid-Year Sale - VideoHive nominations (closing May 24!)

In a time where there is greater need to communicate and stay connected online, Envato Market is hosting a large-scale Mid Year Campaign to showcase items that help businesses and individuals build or improve their online presence. This could be in the form of (but not limited to) social media, marketing, websites, eCommerce and more.

This campaign will feature 30% to 50% off ~500 items from ThemeForest, CodeCanyon, GraphicRiver, VideoHive, AudioJungle on a dedicated campaign landing page, with a focus on current high performing and new author-nominated items.

The campaign landing page will be promoted through Envato’s marketing channels, including on-site promotion, email and affiliates. Our Mid Year Sale campaign will be live between Tuesday 23rd June (12am UTC) and Wednesday 1st July (2pm UTC) 2020.

It’s really important that the 30% to 50% discount is off your normal sale price. Envato will be reviewing each nominated item carefully, and only those with a clear, stable and consistent normal price will be selected (consistent with our Pricing Promotion rules below, among other things).

Any price changes made by you through your dashboard after 24th May (the date that nominations close) may disqualify your item from the promotion. Please ensure your price is set before nominations close, if you wish your item to be considered for this promotion. See our Pricing Promotion rules below for more details.

What are we looking for?

  • You must be the author of any items that you are nominating
  • Items must be high quality, presented well, and up-to-date

To meet the campaign theme, we are looking for items that:

  • Help businesses or individuals build or improve their online presence in any way.
  • Are made for, or have application for (but not limited to), social media, online marketing, websites and eCommerce purposes.

NOTE: We are looking for current high performing items and popular new items. This campaign does not require minimum sales or ratings for item nominations. However, both will factor into our decision on what to include in the campaign.

There will be two sections of the landing page to display sale items. The majority of selected items will be displayed in the main sale section, while a limited number of items will receive special exposure in a feature section at the top of the campaign landing page.

The feature items are hand-picked by Envato staff from all items nominated by authors and represent the best value items Envato Market has to offer. While we can’t promise that your items will definitely be chosen, we’d love to see the best of your portfolio nominated for consideration.

All items will be displayed for the full duration of the campaign period.

Campaign Discount

For this campaign we’d like to feature selected items that are at a discount of 30% to 50% Off from their normal (consistent) sale price. Authors can nominate their item for one of the following discounts:

  • 30% Off
  • 40% Off
  • 50% Off

What’s next? Campaign timeline

  • Monday, 18 May: We launch the nomination process (you’re reading it right now!)
  • Sunday, 24 May: Item nominations close. Remember to set your item price before this date (so if you’re experimenting with price at all, make sure it’s set to your normal price by this date).
  • Saturday, 30 May: We will inform the authors of selected items and provide more details via email.
  • Monday 22 June: Promotional prices are automatically applied to selected items at 2pm UTC
  • Tuesday, 23 June: The campaign landing page is live at 12am UTC, campaign marketing starts from 5am UTC.
  • Wednesday, 1 July: Promotional campaign ends at 2pm UTC

Pricing Promotion Rules

Consistent Price: Your item must have been listed at a clear, stable and consistent price to be eligible for inclusion in our Mid Year Sale campaign. As is always the case, eligibility will be determined by Envato, factoring in a number of different things, including whether your item has been listed at the same price for the 30 days leading up to the promotion period. See our author Discount & Promotional Pricing Guidelines for more details.

Discount Price: By nominating for this promotion you are choosing to set your item’s list price 30% to 50% off the stable price it has been listed at, with the promotional pricing change effective on Tuesday 23rd June, 2020. Sale items are rounded down to the nearest dollar after the discount has been applied.

Buyer Fee: The included buyer fee will not change. You can find more information on how to calculate prices with buyer fees here.

Author-Driven Pricing: Under our Author-Driven Pricing rules, as you all know, you are free to change your price whenever you like, whether or not you previously nominated for the promotion. However, it’s really important that our buying customers have certainty around pricing and the extent of discounts, particularly on sales campaigns. If you are opting into our Mid Year Sale campaign (by nominating your items with the link above), you’re electing to apply the 30% to 50% discount to apply for the whole duration of the campaign period - and making a commitment to customers to not change discounts or price for that period. For items which do not meet the promotional criteria (ie, if you remove the discount, or attempt to re-price relevant sale items during the sale period), either:

  • those items will automatically be removed from the promotion page (but will of course remain for sale on Envato Market); or
  • the discount will automatically re-applied, at the previously determined discounted rate.

Of course, if part-way through the campaign, you’re affected by serious circumstances that mean you must exit your items from Envato’s sale campaign, let us know at [communitymarketing@envato.com], and we’ll help you to remove those items.
