Why do people call them Trifold?

Hi all…

Waiting for my first item to be reviewed. So I thought I would get an issue off my chest.

Why do people insist on calling leaflets with two folds - ‘Trifold’?

I’ve worked in the print industry for a number of years and they are called ‘Bifold’ which are either folded as ‘Gatefold’ or ‘Z-fold’.

Bifold means two folds… Trifold means three folds!

Would I get an item rejected for calling it bifold?

u are completely right i assume that people are misleading between 3 fold and 3 pages per side …
