Hi everyone,
I’m preparing to submit my first HTML template to ThemeForest and want to make sure I follow all the best practices to avoid rejections. I’ve checked the submission requirements, but I’m still unsure about things like:
- Folder structure and naming conventions
- Use of external libraries
- Proper documentation formatting
- How responsive and mobile-friendly the design needs to be
Could any experienced authors share some advice or a checklist they follow before submitting their HTML templates?

-
It definitely needs to be mobile responsive optimised
-
Try to avoid using free shared hosting for your demo - it impacts the performance which is not good for potential buyers/sales
-
Don’t upload something half finished full of inactive links
-
Don’t include stock photos (replace with placeholders)
It’s advisable to share the demo here for feedback first to reduce the potential for hard rejection
