Using Music for local radio?

Hello, I present a local radio show (for a non commercial station) and would like to use some of the music tracks as background (bed) to talk over . Also to crop and use as fillers between tracks. Would this type of use be covered by the standard music license? Would appreciate a steer, thanks!

Hello,

A use for a radio show would be considered broadcast and would thus require a broadcast license. Which one would depend on the population that are covered by the station.

Thanks PF for your reply, don’t really know the size of the listening public. Will check out the type of license needed, it’s a non profit local station.
