Hello there,
I got my second soft-rejection on my HTML template.
I thought I could request some screenshots of my issues, so I sent an e-mail to the Envato reviewer, but I didn’t get any response.
RESPONSIVE ISSUES: Your files are eithier inaccurately represented as responsive or have responsive layout issues. Please take a moment to make sure that your design layout looks correct at different breakpoints and that all text is scaled appropriately for smaller devices.
LOW CONTRAST: Please increase the visual contrast of the following elements, which will drastically improve legibility and readability. Ref: https://www.nngroup.com/articles/low-contrast/
For point 4, I shortened the text from each section and the text under each section’s title, and for point 5, I changed the background from the parallax areas (excluding the header) for the text to improve the readability from those sections.
Regarding 1, 2 and 3 I tried in the previous soft-rejection to fix some spacing issues, but as you see, they are still a reason for the soft-rejection. As for the color palette, I was sure the colors are good enough for this template. Also, there is a responsive feature implemented in the template.
Hopefully someone can help me get my template accepted on ThemeForest, and help to imrpove my web design skills.
I’m waiting for replies! Thanks and have a nice day!
to be totally honest with you, is amazing that you’ve got only Soft Rejections. Says alot about how the envato market is these days.
So far your template has nothing unique, not even a single element.
Alingment is poor (as highlighted in prt screen), also the collours and typography looks very cheap.
At this momment you template looks more like a free themplate that you can find over the web.
Please have a look at the best selling templates and im sure you’ll notest and understand the differences and the level you have to achive in order to get approved.
I’ve seen templates that were much more poor, regarding the design…
And I’m sure you could give more advices to fix the existing issues instead of commenting every aspect of the theme. You try, you don’t get born with professional skills.
Thanks anyway for everything mentioned above. Have a nice day!
Still opened, if someone could some better advices on my template. I tried to fix some points, you can see the modifications on this link: https://waterproofthemes.tk/cruze/
Hello there
Unfortunately I gotta agree with @giani188
This font on my browser looks so thin that I can hardly read it (win 10, chrome browser).
Please change the social media buttons on the bottom, make them smaller, add a good hover effect and make them more seamless with the template, since they look out of place.
I would also add more radius to the shadows on pricing plans which are on hover.
The contact details should be more to the bottom. Certainly not before portfolio.
This color scheme bugs me. I like green & blue combos, but this blue and green doesn’t stand out to me.
Work a little more and it can be such a nice template
Hi, If you have a time can you please give some advice on my html template which got soft-rejected (problem mentioned by reviewer are scrolling animation and smooth-scroll) yesterday.
Probably the biggest flaw I see is how you use typography throughout the design, the fonts are way too thin and there’s no typographic hierarchy, please refer to this tutorial here.
Your social icons at the bottom are so big, it actually stood out more than the important contents. Good luck to the re-submission. Good for you it’s only soft rejected.
