ThemeForest File nominations for Envato Cyber Sale Campaign 2024 🎉

Cyber Monday is the biggest sale event on the calendar! Envato’s marketing team are putting together our annual Cyber Sale campaign that will feature 30-50% off items from ThemeForest and CodeCanyon.

Selected items will be promoted on a dedicated page within each participating marketplace, enabling customers to browse sale items using the full range of Envato Market filters. Our campaign will be promoted through Envato’s marketing channels, including on-site promotion, email and affiliates.

Campaign dates:

  • Sale starts: Wednesday 20 November 1am (UTC)
  • Sale ends: Tuesday 3 December 12:59pm (UTC)

It’s really important that the 30-50% discount is off your normal item price. Envato will be reviewing each nominated item carefully, and only those with a clear, stable and consistent normal price will be selected (consistent with our Pricing Promotion rules below, among other things).

Any price changes made by you through your dashboard after 20 October (the date that nominations close) may disqualify your item from the promotion. So please ensure your price is set before nominations close, if you wish your item to be considered for this promotion. See our Pricing Promotion rules below for more details.

What are we looking for?

  • You must be the author of any items that you are nominating
  • Items must be high quality, presented well, and up-to-date

NOTE: We are looking for current high performing items and popular new items. This campaign does not require minimum sales or ratings for item nominations. However, both will factor into our decision on what to include in the campaign.

Campaign Discount

For this campaign we’ll feature selected items that are at a discount of 30% to 50% Off from their normal (consistent) sale price.

Cyber Monday is the biggest sale of the year, and the campaign has been designed so that the majority of items promoted will be at 50% off. However, we will also be including additional items from 30% to 50% off, giving you the opportunity to nominate at any discount in this range.

How do I take part?

Make sure you have read and understood our requirements - read our Campaign FAQ and use that thread to ask us any other questions you may have. Ensure that the item(s) you submit meets all requirements!

What’s next? Campaign Timeline

  • Tuesday 8 October: We launch the nomination process (you’re reading it right now!)

  • Sunday 20 October: Item nominations close. Remember to set your item price before this date (so if you’re experimenting with price at all, make sure it’s set to your normal price by this date).

  • Monday 28 October - Sunday 3 November: During these dates we will inform the authors of selected items that have been scheduled into our campaign and provide more details via email about the campaign process.

  • Tuesday 19 November: Promotional prices are automatically applied to campaign items at 11pm UTC. Pre-campaign checks and testing commences.

  • Wednesday 20 November: The campaign is live from 1am UTC and campaign marketing begins.

  • Tuesday 3 December: Promotional campaign ends at 12:59pm UTC. All item prices will be returned to their original price automatically at this time.

Pricing Promotion Rules

Consistent Price: Your item must have been listed at a clear, stable and consistent price to be eligible for inclusion in our campaign. As is always the case, eligibility will be determined by Envato, factoring in a number of different things, including whether your item has been listed and sold at the same price for the 30 days leading up to the promotion period. See our author Discount & Promotional Pricing Guidelines for more details.

Discount Price: By nominating for this promotion you are choosing to set your item’s list price 30-50% off the stable price it has been listed at, with the promotional pricing change effective on 19 November, 11pm UTC. Sale items are rounded down to the nearest dollar after the discount has been applied.

Buyer Fee: The included buyer fee will not change. You can find more information on how to calculate prices with buyer fees here.

Author-Driven Pricing: Under our Author-Driven Pricing rules, as you all know, you are free to change your price whenever you like. However, it’s really important that our buying customers have certainty around pricing and the extent of discounts, particularly on sales campaigns. If you are opting into our sale campaign (by nominating your items with the link above), you’re electing to apply the 30-50% discount for the specified duration of the campaign period - and making a commitment to customers to not change discounts or price for that period. We’ve implemented some tooling to help with this, which does the following for our campaigns:

  • once item selection is complete and relevant authors are notified via email, price changes will no longer be possible until the end of the campaign, unless authors opt-out of the campaign altogether before the campaign period starts;
  • once the campaign commences, the nominated discount percentage will be automatically applied for the specified promotion period; and to confirm, authors will not be able to change the item price (or cancel their nominated discount) during the campaign.

Of course, you have the option to opt-out of the campaign before it begins by using the Manage Discount tool, just be sure - because if you select to opt-out, we are unable to return your item into this campaign. If part-way through the campaign, you’re affected by serious circumstances that mean you must exit your items from Envato’s sale campaign, let us know at [communitymarketing@envato.com], and we’ll do our best to help you. All decisions about whether Envato can or will remove any item from a campaign are final.
