I’m now about to create a new website for displaying freebies designs & elements. So I’m looking for wordpress theme/template to be suitable for this.

Not allowed to link to items here but search Themeforest for ‘digital marketplace’ and there are a few there that would work and then you can just disable the purchasing stuff (that way you have the option for premium items too).
