When we compose orchestral music we can use a variety of instruments. All beautiful instruments! But some of them can have certain harmonics that are too much. A cello for example in the 200Hz range or a Piccolo Flute around the 4KHz. Your mix gets unbalanced. And you end up with a dissatisfying result. No need to! In this video I show you how I control these harmonics by using a multi-band compressor (FabFilter Pro MB) or a dynamic EQ plugin (FabFilter Pro Q).
