Confusing error message at top of Wordpress re Theme, can anyone advise?

I have the lush theme installed on Wordpress and I have this message that won’t go away inside wordpress, I not sure how to resolve it.

I’m total newbie/hack so bare that in mind, thanks!

The theme is not compatible with the latest version of WordPress. Download and install the previous version of WordPress or request a theme update from the author for the latest version
