Though it would be interesting to see your all sales graph.

For me I think I had like 20 % drop last year, maybe I because I didn’t have a plan on going somewhere nor making something coherent from the top selling tracks.
It was only late 2014 when I decided to start putting some real effort into it, so the increase from 2014 to 2015 reflects that. Same with 2016, I kept growing my portfolio and trying to improve the content I was producing. I honestly can’t see me doubling my sales from 2016 to 2017, but purely based on the last six months being higher than the first… I’m looking at around a 25% increase.
I think everyone hits a kind of wall at some point. I mean, if you upload ten files in a month when you have 10 files then your portfolio has doubled from one month to the next. But if you upload 10 files in a month when you already have 200 files, then that’s only a 5% increase. At the this stage, I think the only hope for me to carry on doubling my income would be to come up with some crazy strategy to create much more desirable files, or finally figure out how to make top selling logo stings for After Effects. Or learn Wordpress!
In the first two years I uploaded probably 80% of my current portfolio. After 2012 I slowed down, uploading only a couple of items per year, including several packs. In fact, about half of my uploads between 2012 and 2019 were probably packs. Maybe that’s why in 2016 I peaked, and in 2017 I fell hard. Really hard ! In 2018 I saw an uptick in sales, and 2019, so far, is doing much better. Hopefully, and with a bit more uploading, I can climb back to match that wonderful year 2016. Good luck everyone, and have a great weekend ! And a Happy Easter for the Orthodox out there !
