i happened to purchase a website today from Envato themeforest website. but i mistakenly bought a HTML theme instead what i wanted was a WordPress theme from the same author. but right now the issue is i am not able to open a ticket to author as there is no item listed in that purchase even though the purchase number is correct it. i need help

yes i did and then i tried to upload it to WordPress thats when i noted that i was suppose to download a WordPress edition but by mistake i bought an HTML theme i can attach picture for reference

and the main issue is i am not able to open a ticket because the purchase product does not list in the drop down so not able to contact the author

You’re not entitled to request a refund ( you may but most likely it will be rejected ) if the item has been downloaded already

We will assess refund or credit requests (if you have an Envato Market account) on their merits, considering the digital nature of Envato Market items and the type of item preview that was available before purchase. There is generally no obligation to provide a refund or credit in situations like the following:

  1. you have changed your mind about an item;
  2. you bought an item by mistake;

no i am not opting for a refund but to change my license from HTML theme to WordPress theme format edition for the same theme which is useful for me. i am not asking for a refund but to change from HTML to WordPress

i do have an Envato account and provide you details needed just need a change only not a refund request

Luckily both HTML Template and WordPress theme from the same Author.
So, you can contact the Author and tell them details. Hope author will help you to get the WordPress theme.

another issue is i am not able to contact the author using the open ticket that even though it verifies the product or category theme i have bought is (HTML) is not listed which does not allow me to send a ticket to the author

as i have provided you screenshot it does not allow me to raise a ticket because in the category list the WordPress edition is only listed and not the HTML

You can let the theme author know about it by posting comments going through the Item Comments page.

Or send them a direct email going through the author profile page, there you will find a contact form.
