WordPress Theme Rejected by ThemeForest – Honest Feedback Needed

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out for some honest feedback regarding a WordPress theme I submitted to ThemeForest, which unfortunately received a hard rejection.

I’m feeling quite frustrated and would truly appreciate any constructive input to better understand what needs improvement.

Here’s the feedback I received from the ThemeForest review team:

“Unfortunately, WordPress themes require a much higher standard in terms of aesthetics and attention to detail. Approval in another category does not guarantee approval in the WordPress category.
While your theme has an interesting base, it currently lacks the level of visual refinement expected in this marketplace.
As better-quality themes continue to enter the market, approval standards are also becoming stricter.
Unfortunately, this item hasn’t yet met the required quality threshold. We can only provide detailed suggestions once it crosses that bar.”

Any guidance, tips, or feedback would be greatly appreciated to help me move forward and improve this product.

hello: your design not quality for themeforest approved or already your design have same or look item category (wordpress or html or figma or psd) in themeforest.

Envato is justified in making rules stricter.

a. Envato as a platform is competing with AI based template builders [ check v0 from vercel ] . Your design must be at all cost look handcrafted, something that AI can not achieve. They need quality items more than ever, now.
b. Chose a style more versatile , get the basics right, use AI to help you on this.
c. Think out of the box, not a standardised template.Think of a concept apart from grids, tailwind classes.
d. Fonts, spacing, overall aesthetics needs improvement.
