Wordpress theme calafate child

Hello,
It seems that the short-code spoiler ‘read-more’ doesn’t work well on our WP website with Calafat-child theme. We have checked a lot of steps. But we assume it has something to do with the theme defaults/restrictions. What to do;

-Purchase Calafat again, or is it possible to purchase only ‘child’…?
