Wordpress subdomain deletion

Hello!

Hope someone can give me an answer to this.

I had subdomain with some blog post, which are already ranked in Google and appeared in search engine. Now I decided to move all my posts to main domain. Did not move them, but created identical posts, just on my main domain. I still have subdomain posts there, so people can access them but otherwise subdomain is dead end now. Just posts there with menu navigation pointing to main site.

Now, I don’t know what to do next. Should I delete subdomain and forget about those ranked blog posts or should I leave subdomain there until new main domain posts appear on google search (for how long?)?
Maybe an option to make redirect from subdomain to main domain?
What happens with google ranked posts in that case?

Hope someone can clarify this a bit, so I won’t make something stupid.

Thanks.

Maybe this will help you.

Thanks CocoBasic

Unfortunately I already manually wrote new posts on main domain and pointed all menu items on subdomain to new domain. So now on subdomain there are only left blog posts which currently are still good ranks on Google.
Now I don’t know if I should just delete subdomain, or forward whole subdomain to main domain on my cpanel with 301?

And subquestions:

  • If I should setup 301 redirect, do I have to redirect each blog post to new one or just main subdomain url to new domain url?
  • If I should do 301 with all blog posts, after I do this, should I delete posts or not?

I don’t wan’t to sc*ew anything with Google.

Any advice would be aprishiated.
