I am currently trawling the web looking for a tutorial or plugin to help me refine a search in wordpress.
I want a user to either carry out a search on my site or navigate to a given category then further refine their search by putting ticks in checkboxes that correspond to categories.
anyone have anything, any pointers, any anything!

Perhaps the code in there can put you in the right direction. I’ve not seen an existing plugin which has the facility you want but it’s almost certainly possible.
