I’m having problems setting up WooCommerce to accept my Amazon affiliate keys (wordpress site). I keep getting the below error after entering in the access and secret key.
" Amazon Error: 1 - SOAP Fault: (faultcode: aws:Client.RequestThrottled, faultstring: AWS Access Key ID: AKIAIIYYYUUE4LP783h. You are submitting requests too quickly. Please retry your requests at a slower rate.)
WooCommerce Amazon Affiliates was not able to connect to Amazon with the specified AWS Key Pair and Associate ID. Please triple-check your AWS Keys and Associate ID."
Things I have checked so for:
-SOAP module is installed and running
-Amazon Affiliate keys and IDs are good - tried multiple different keys with no change.
- I have sold hundreds of items using my affiliate web links. – buyer clicks on link and I get the commission for the sale.
However when I look at other youtube videos when setting up WooCommerce it appears the author logs into Amazon Affiliates, click on “Product Advertising API” and then manage credentials. When they click on manage credentials it takes them to Amazon AWS to retrieve affiliate keys. However my affiliate keys are within Amazon Affiliate’s website so maybe i’m doing something wrong? Why aren’t I being redirected to login to AWS like the videos i’m seeing? Instead I can generate the keys within the Affiliate page. Does this matter?
