Why themeforest banned Chinese users from accessing?

We have many Chinese friends who especially like the themes on themeforest, however, when we access themeforest from China, we have to enter a hard to recognize captcha, which is especially annoying, may I ask why themeforest has to prohibit Chinese users from accessing?
