I am interested in making edits to my item that is selling from some time now. So the question is what exactly can I update, can I add more pages to it, for example? It’s a magazine template and I believe it could do better with few pages added.

yes, you can update your item and can add more pages but when you will submit your item one of the envato reviewer team will review your update and if everything is fine then will approve the update.
Preview image change: is the same process when you submited your item and upload preview image but in this time through edit options of your item.

hi yes u can indeed, but think twice about it, it has already happened from time to time that the “updated item” finally gets hard rejected
