Why do Envato takes his cut in the support renewals?

Why do Envato takes his cut in the support renewals? In return authors don’t get anything.

  • support to end users is still provided by authors, envato has nothing to do with that
  • they don’t invest in the Market improvements since years
  • when authors reach to envato support team, it takes ages for envato team to response and 60% of the time they don’t provide a solution at all
  • but when envato support team reaches to you, you are forced to provide a respond within 24 hours otherwise decision is taken for you
  • instead of foreseeing and preparing for GA4 changes, and implementing it on time in the Market, they simply removed it.
  • proper marketing is long gone for the Market, all focus on elements

These are just few points that came to my mind, so why the heck they take their piece in support renewals?
