I applied for EIN years ago for the purpose of Amazon’s KDP, back then nothing else would work. So now that I had one and Envato made the change, the choice was simple :).

Ah right, that’s fair enough then. But if somebody doesn’t already have an EIN, then they’re probably best using their national tax ID number as a foreign ID. Saves having to apply for this, that and the other.
