For guitars I usually use guitar samples (prime loops) / kontakt libraries (BadA&$ Gu!t@rS, infinuitar, osmium clouds, titan, undeight) , synthesizer + guitar rig pro or various guitar plugins like ample sound guitars with guitar rig pro
