What to do when support is really bad?

Hi I have purchased a theme which is giving me a lot of problems.
Installed on a clean wordpress installation.
Communication with author takes a lot of time or doesn’t get answered.
When the issue is fixed, most of the times it isn’t.

For example, answer was:

You are using many other plugins so kindly unactivate them and try to upload logo and check one by one that plugins activate them one by one . if not solve then try to install older version for wordpress because newer version having some issues .

So no more details. All plug-ins are included in his theme, non are extra installed.

Installing lower version without giving details is also a really strange solution.

How to proceed? Can I ask my money back?

Last communication I sent him was 14/09 and reminder on 26/09 without response…

Regarding to the version of the WordPress your using, the theme and other plugins may not be compatible with the latest version. In this case, before requesting a refund, you should check the compatibility list first ( WordPress version ) and after you need to follow the instructions

One of the plugin may cause the problem and it’s not theme authors’ responsibility to fix it
