isn’t the “HDV/HDTV 720” a lower resolution?

thanks dear doru…let me make it clearer,i have imported my render from cinema 4d in to AE in size of 1280x720 25.in AE i have a composition with the preset(HDV/HDTV 72025)…now if i change this preset to (HDTV 1080 25) and then manually change the size to 1280x720,will i get a better resolution using preset HDTV 1080 25 but with the size of 1280x720?

No, if you blow your 720 line HD up to 1080 line HD, it won’t put the resolution back. It will interpolate pixels to make the image fit. You can apply sharpening to give it the illusion of being higher res than it is, but that’s a cheap trick.

Just use your eyes. If you’re working in CC you can try using the detail preserving upscale effect too.
