I’m completely lost. What is the problem with this piano track?
It’s a high standard piano (Pianoteq 6) and easy apllicable track.
Maybe to much melody?
Or the fact that it’s a solo piano?

Not my genre so im no expert, but it might be the timing perhaps? The rhytm and flow seems to be off every now and then.
other then that, beautiful sounding piano and a very nice melody… I dont think that’s the problem at all. This is also very useable for certain videos.
Thanks Robert. I especially made the timing/rhythm/flow like this to keep a realistic feel. It’s easy to quantize everything, but then the track is dead. In the second part is a slight delay (for the musicallity) but the timing is still perfect and I especially made sure that this is the case in the complete track. If this is the problem, I will quantize 100%
No problem good sir! It really is the only thing i can think of… perhaps others who mastered this genre hear other things. I think the sound and melody are very good!
Ok, thanks. Maybe others can say something about it?
I agree. I don’t think you should give up on this one AASMusicworks. I have had tracks rejected and then accepted after making adjustments. Only the rhythm/timing for me. Maybe leave it for a week don’t listen to it and then work on it again.
It has a beautiful and honest tone in my opinion. However, the pauses seem awkward to me in terms of the cadence. Try to experiment with less pause, or adding a soft transition note, etc. Also, to avoid possible repetition problems, you might change up the melody a few times at the end of a phrase by adding some transition notes that lead into the next phrase. It’s worth trying to improve in my opinion. BTW, if you don’t mind me asking, which piano/setting are you using in Pianoteq 6?
I will try the transition note. Just thought the pauses were nice, but maybe to artistic. I used the cinematic with some alterations.
