I am conducting a video editing course and would like to introduce my participants to the freedom that online libraries offer, and I think Envato Elements is the perfect choice.
What sort of subscription is recommended? I am looking at a 1-2 month subscription (projects would be completed by then).

You have to be actively Subscribed to the platform(elements) when the project is going on and completed I.e you cannot stockpile items for future use and cancel the subscription. The licenses you get for items you download and register from Envato Elements are only valid if you complete your End Products while your subscription is active.
According to your need you can go with monthly/yearly subscription. Also you can choose Individual/Team plan as you need.
