What size for HD?

I am doing some test renders for FireWorks in Blender and want to export it in HD format (.mov) if it’s really good, and maybe list it on here. What size do I need?

1280x720 for 720p or 1920x1080 for 1080p, both at 30 fps.

why does AE sets the comp frame rate as 29.97 if you select HD format ? is it ok to use 30 instead ?
