I would try and have the demo as stand alone rather than as part of another website that is not relevant to the plugin.

You need examples of more layouts, front end UI, tighten up the typography on the examples you have etc

Actually this is the worst possible approach. You need to go straight in at the best it can be - otherwise you will be rejected and the item will be blocked from resubmitting.

the demo is not there yet -

  • it feels quite rushed
  • typography and spacing all needing a lot of work
  • different samples are very squashed together

I’d still argue that there is not enough to make it premium. For example, this is a popular and similar plugin https://codecanyon.net/item/essential-grid-wordpress-plugin/7563340 - check the scale of versatility and high-quality execution (not only the plugin but even the way the demo is presented)

That alone won’t fix it - you need to look at the competition like the link we shared above to better understand the expectations and standards needed especially for a plugin where there are a lot of free alternatives on wp.org
