Premium beat on Envato ?
As far as I know pbeats is part of the SS group. Would they be publishing part (or the whole) PB’s catalog in Elements?
Yep! Looks like they are sharing portfolios across platforms. There are premiumbeat watermarks in the previews. It’s gonna be hard to compete among this quantity of the new tracks.
Unlimited uploads. I don’t think it’s fair.
In addition, the portfolio is labeled as exclusive, which is not true for obvious reasons.
@BenLeong could you shed some light on this? Is it vice versa for Envato authors? Are you merging platforms? What about the customers?
If I, say, decide to sell only on Pond5 and Envato, can I set up exclusivity too?
@BenLeong Please tell us about your strategy towards the authors. Income for six months fell to almost zero, that is, about 100%. Do you have any plan or are these new realities? Are we burying the site together or is there any hope?
Yep, we all would like to know what just happened.
Nasty. The silence about all this is just LOUD. I can’t imagine when they throw these 5k tracks (which were 3k this morning and who knows how much there’ll be tomorrow) into Elements… so long and thanks for the shoes.
For some reason it seems to me that they still sell their music somewhere xD PremiumBeat - Portfolio | AudioJungle
Are we also exclusive if we upload to Pond5 (SS archipelago too)? @BenLeong , @KingDog , serious question here. Thx!
Is it a true PremiumBeat account? What’s going on?
100% same tracks.
We are not xD
4468 tracks. @BenLeong could you please shed some light on that?
Hi all! I’ve merged posts from the two PremiumBeat threads in here, to respond to both at once.
If you aren’t familiar with that label, PremiumBeat is a brand of the Shutterstock group. Over the next month, we will be publishing PremiumBeat tracks to AudioJungle to further strengthen the AJ offering and hopefully helping to bring more customers on to the AudioJungle site to explore music content.
You will notice that these tracks contain a “PremiumBeat” watermark on AJ, and that some tracks contain a larger number of track variants than existing AudioJungle tracks. If you sell music on Envato Elements, you may have seen our recent feedback discussion in the Audio Update forum about potential changes to our remix and track variants policy - please check out that thread for more information, and let me know if you’re a Elements Music author who doesn’t have access to the Audio Updates area.
When working with large content libraries, we directly import those items into our systems in bulk instead of manually uploading content through the standard interface. This method is more frequently used for content types like photos, sound effects and stock footage, but it can be used for any content type.
It’s important to note that our current Exclusivity Policy still applies to music sold through Envato Market, Envato Elements and Placeit, and doesn’t extend to other sites like Pond5 and Shutterstock. The PremiumBeat portfolio on AudioJungle has now been updated to non-exclusive, to reflect this.
If you have more questions about PremiumBeat, I can get more information for you later in the week - please note that I’ll be out sick for the rest of today and tomorrow, but I should be back online this Thursday.
