What if a seller doesn't respond on comments or emails?

I bought a theme with 6 months customer support.

Because the provided documentation is very poor (just a few screenshots and not all items explained), I rated this seller 1 star for documentation.

He sent me an email telling me I had to give him 5 stars for customer support.
I didn’t, because I wasn’t even sure about the support.
Now he is not answering my emails or comments for help anymore.

Besides that, his English is very poor, he often doesn’t even understand my questions.

I don’t want a refund, but I want this seller to do what he promises.

How can I achieve this?

Not all authors here are professional, so you took a chance leaving a 1-star rating before you got what you wanted. Unfortunately this is the result.

If you don’t want a refund then I suggest you try to get on his good side, remove your bad review, and let him know you’d like to give him a chance to make things right (even if it means you must pretend :stuck_out_tongue:). You can review the product again later.

Other than that you cannot make the seller do anything. Envato support will only give you a refund if you complain.


I did tell him I’d give him a good review if he would answer my questions. He did not react on that, just stopped customer service.
Unfortunately, I’m not the only one who is complaining about him.

Try leaving an actual good review, and then ask for help again. He will see it and should want to keep it.

I am not sure this is going to help - why the carrot and stick, why not just honor the terms of support for a purchase mande and paid for!
