What are some decent/elegant WordPress themes suited for programming oriented blogs?

Hi,

What are some decent/elegant WordPress themes suited for programming oriented blogs?

Thanks,
Behrang

Hey!

Your target is most likely other programmers or people that need to learn/view code. Therefore anything fancy would kill the CONTENT which definitely is KING in here. (Especially the code.) And “techy” people don’t really care for your looks.

So you definitely need to pick a very clean one for this one.

We’ll release a super-clean, very content-focused theme very soon but if you need something real fast, Read WP is the best choice.

Good luck!

Hi Behrang! Take a look at my latest theme “Mogoze”, a magazine / blog theme completely responsive from 1440 px. Cheers

Thanks guys. As Themeflame said, I am looking for something simple and uncluttered. Something similar too Octopress and Jekyll themes (http://opthemes.com/, http://octopressthemes.com/) but for WordPress.

Cheers and Happy 2014!

I agree that for a development blog, effective communication of ideas is King, but it is possible to be a little too stark. Think of some of the Linux based open source projects. The barrenness of presentation on many projects’ landing pages is a put-off. I think to myself, ‘Really, guys? You couldn’t try just a little bit harder?’ Even though I am usually seeking insight on a particular programming task when I land on a development blog, I still want to be visually stimulated.
