Three months ago I contacted support with a question about authors purchasing other accounts, they answered that this is strictly prohibited and violates the rules of the market and that an investigation is underway, but three months have passed and there are no results of the investigation, and in the meantime this continues.
All the authors on whom I had evidence continue to be in top positions on elements. Can you at least answer that you conducted an investigation and found out that they do not buy from themselves.
If someone is not aware, I provided 25 names of authors buying other people’s accounts and here is another one. This can be used in fraudulent promotion of their tracks, which envato ignores for now.
Here is a screenshot of another buyer. The name is hidden, since this only concerns support.
@BenLeong Maybe you have ideas justifying these purchases?
that’s the point, they get their tracks to the top, boost each other with their fake accounts, from the first page this investment pays off in a few months.
The support said that it looks very serious and they can easily find out if it is true. But in 3 months they have not found out whether I am right or not.
I can easily admit that I was wrong if I am wrong. But then explain to me why they buy accounts?
You answer please. What’s your point? I never purchased any account and have no idea how this accounts could boost sales on other acccounts. May be it’s about 30 track limits, i have no idea.
I’m just curious how this is possible. I am against gaming the system and have reported suspicious activities on certain accounts multiple times. Moreover, the weekly top seller on AudioJungle seems to indicate signs of this suspicious activity. It’s strange that there have been no results from the investigation for more than three months.
I don’t know specifics but isn’t it more likely that those are scam e-mails trying to get your log-in information without actually paying? Or even just trying to get your bank info, personal info etc. etc.
On a related side note:
I had an offer once from someone who contacted me and said he would like to commission music. He offdered a good amount. For some reason it felt weird but he seemed serious. Then he said he wanted to send me double the amount via cheque and asked me to wire back the difference.
I got suspicious of course and found out that that is a common tactic they do. The cheque will first clear and then only later will turn out fraud.
Of course I reported him. This did not happen on this platform btw.
It’s funny to hear about this. 3 or 4 years ago I tried to sell my account. Guys who showed interest was unable to pay 10000$ or 13000$ (don’t remember exactly amount I asked) for my account. Gladly I contacted support and they explained me that it’s against their rules. And thanks God I didn’t sell it. So what you wrote here looks like some sort of scam. Anyway, it’s up to Envato to dig deeper in this investigation. Good luck with finding the truth.
If this is not a scam, they are a century behind. Today it is better to invest your money in an AI company than in a soon-to-be obsolete music library.
