Hi All
I just purchased a short video from Envato
I Download it and see that is a MOV format. 534 MB
I like to use it as a homepage full screen video (with visual composer on Wordpress)

  1. Do I need to change the Format to MP4? how?
  2. Do I need to make it much smaller size? how?
  3. Do I need to host it on the site server or to upload it to Youtube or Vimeo?

I think the wise solution is to upload it to youtube or vimeo.
The issue is concerned to browsers and mobile devices.
If you intend to upload it to yur server you need to make sure to use at least 3 different video types, in which you’ll need to use ogv, webm and mp4 extensions in order to work on every browsers.
Then there is the issue with mac devices wich do not support flash and as consequence, the videos won’t play also. So the youtube or vimeo is the best solution.
