Can I use ThemeForest HTML template for my CodeCanyon items?

Can I buy a template, develop software on it and sell it on CodeCanyon? Or do I have to create the design from scratch to sell items on CodeCanyon?

No! you can’t. You must have to taken permission from the template author and it is called author collaborations.
