I’m supposed to update a clients website/store to the latest version of your Salient Theme.
To make sure that everything looks alright, I want to do it on their staging site first, can i just use the same credentials in the Envato Market plugin for that?
Their live site is at xxxxx.com, and the staging site is located at clone.xxxxx.com.
Will it cause a problem if I just copy their credentials from one site to the other?

You can use the same credentials for both websites. The Envato Market plugin does not restrict the number of simultaneous installations you can have.
