Items that are unsupported and license codes are required for theme activation should be removed immediately by envato staff, anfd while they are at it… do me a favor and make me a refund as well…

Unfortunately the author does not have to offer support if they list it as “unsupported” (which they do).
As authors are not allowed to entirely block items without registration, It seems more likely that the activation is only related to automatically updating the item or plugins rather than the theme loading?

It seems you’re not the only one who’s having trouble to activate the theme. I suggest to contact Envato support to request a refund directly
