  • your current author fee rate = 37.5%
  • US withholding tax based on your submitted tax infos = 30%
  • mobile category = $4.00 fixed buyer fee
  • list price of your item = $18.00

list price = item price + buyer fee
your gross income of a sale is the item price and based on this gross income you have to pay your author fee and US withholding tax (if a US citizen bought your item).

non-US sale:
$18.00 - $4.00 = $14.00 gross income
$14.00 * 0.375 = $5.25 author fee
$14.00 - $5.25 = $8.75 net income

US sale:
$18.00 - $4.00 = $14.00 gross income
$14.00 * 0.375 = $5.25 author fee
$14.00 * 0.30 = $4.20 withholding tax
$14.00 - $5.25 - $4.20 = $4.55 net income

if you have an item with list price = $16.00 in same category

non-US sale:
$16.00 - $4.00 = $12.00 gross income
$12.00 * 0.375 = $4.50 author fee
$12.00 - $4.50 = $7.50 net income

US sale:
$16.00 - $4.00 = $12.00 gross income
$12.00 * 0.375 = $4.50 author fee
$12.00 * 0.30 = $3.60 withholding tax
$12.00 - $4.50 - $3.60 = $3.90 net income
