Twitter widget doesn't work

So as you can see in the subject’s name, I have a problem with the Twitter widget in Avada.
I use the twitter widget in the footer. (http://jetbug.net/)
I have typed in my Twitter ID, but when I’m watching my page, nothing is appearing…
What can I do? Or is there anything I’m doing wrong?

And yes, I’m new here.

Thank you

Just use this widget instead: http://wordpress.org/plugins/twitget/

Twitter changed their API so any plugin7widget using old code stopped working.

Thanks!
But it didn’t work… I got an error.
“Twitter outputted an error:
Bad Authentication data.”

Do you know what I can do?

You must've set it up wrong.

Did you fill all the fields in plugin setup page? http://s.wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitget/screenshot-3.png?r=728492

Yes. You need to have a widget that uses 1.1 Twitter API

Yes. I fixed it now. Thank you!

Hi guys - I’m struggling with this. On the screenshot here: http://s.wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitget/screenshot-3.png?r=728492 there’s nothing in the API Key fields… do I need to put anything in here? At the moment I’m still getting “Twitter outputted an error: Bad Authentication data.”

Many thanks!

Yup, see the bit in that screen shot about creating a twitter application with a link to twitter’s site. You now have to go thru all that authentication, registering an app etc and adding all your keys etc.

Thanks Jonathan,

I did see that section in the screen shot and in the YouTube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noB3P-K-wb4 - but this option to create an application on Twitter doesn’t appear on my settings page! All I have is "
Set the library you will be using. tmhOAuth is the default library." and “.
Enter your API keys here. If you don’t know how do to that, follow this video tutorial.”

Is there another way to get to this applications page?

Here’s a screen shot of what I’ve got: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/0qi7pugq81ah70r/BF9bUUIzKH

We wrote up a little guide for Twitter Authorization over on our website (don’t think I can post the link) but you can check it out if you’d like. Have a plugin too but it’s probably very similar.

Thanks ThemeBeans - got this sorted now! Much appreciated

@nsquareit1 how about you check out the spam section of our community? It’s called getting your account disabled!
