Yes, awesome. But the privilege status is not clear. Does one have to be an elite author? Does one have to have the badge of an industrious inventor? Or is it OK to be a regular author with almost zero refusals for approval?
I happen to be one with almost a 100% approval status yet I do not have this privilege.
Perhaps you should stick to a certain badge in order to allow this. Even Elite status is fine, so long as you do not delude authors that anybody is eligible

It seems that you dont have to be a elite or power elite author to get this feature.
all you need is a good amount of update approval. Lets say you have 4 items and all those got approved for every update like 10 updates per item for 6months then you could have this feature
or lets say that if you have 4 items and 55% of the update you pushed has been rejected then this feature will not available for you.
this feature will be activated once you get the threshold for approval %.
to know if your account is enabled with this feature
Then just edit an item and check if what type of button you have.
Submit For Review / Save Changes.
if you have save changes then your account is activated.
