Track rejected. No feedback…

I uploaded a track and it had been hard rejected. It’s not the first time this is happening, and usually, I try to improve and do it again. But it would be useful to get better feedback! I received this: “this item does not meet the general commercial quality standard”. I cannot do much with it.

As you know, the process implies composing, arranging, performing, recording, mixing and mastering. If nobody is telling me (and others) in which part of these steps my music is weak, I cannot improve and I will keep being rejected (or sometimes, lucky).

Here it is the last track that I got rejected, published on SoundCloud: Samba Dois.

I will appreciate any feedback!

I am in a similar situation, got rejected with the same feedback as you received for my first 2 submissions (https://soundcloud.com/user-204447244/guitar-wars and https://soundcloud.com/bluemornmusic/rolling-hills). I could understand if the style doesn’t fit or if there were some issues with the mix or master, but no information has been given. Can any seasoned contributors give us some more feedback?

tomgf, as far as your track goes, I can definitely see it’s commercial value, so I’m not sure I have anything to help you, sorry. I hope we can both get some help!

Imho the piano sounds bad and the playing is at beginner level. Strange panning and volume changes also.

Thank you, Audioland! That is feedback that I can understand and use to improve.
