I must say that it was tough for me, as I started in PSD category back in 2013 with no money in my pockets
It was a long journey with many obstacles and rejections, PSD is one of the most difficult categories on TF. First time I had to sell PSD licenses just to survive. In 2015 I’ve made a decision to learn Html/Css and It was a great choice. Today I have some Html in portfolio that sells good, and I’m gratefull for it. I also made many partnerships with WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Muse developers and it helped me a lot, big thanks to them.

Congratulations @DeoThemes what an amazing journey! One question: how did you learn HTML/CSS? It was all by yourself, a course…? Any advice on that? I will like to learn more in the future about coding. Thanks!

Awesome! Next stop: Power elite!
First, I watched courses on Tuts+ about Bootsrtap and HTML/CSS/JS, I think thats where I got all the basics. Some videos I found on YouTube, but most of them I found outdated and scattered. After I watched almost all courses on Tuts+ I’ve started my first HTML template and some parts that I can’t code I just watched in other templates of other authors. In Google Chrome you can press F12 and see all the Html/Css how it’s done. If I had some problem with jQuery that I can’t resolve I ussualy find the answer on Stackoverflow (you can google it). Well, that’s all I think

Congrats!!! I too started just like you, started in PSD category with no financial backup. After many rejections I continued to learn as much I can and got it approved. Sold my PSD licenses just to survive. This year I made a decision to learn wordpress and released my first wordpress item I am happy with the sales. I feel motivated reading your experience.
