Themeforest license for Staging environment

HI there, I have purchased a Themeforest license for one theme which I am currently using. I would like to use the same Theme in a staging environment, however I am being asked for a new license. Is there a way to use the same Theme in a staging environment without having to purchase a new license?

Can you name the theme you’re using? Many authors allow the same license code for a staging website. Did you contact the author directly about this?

No. You cannot install one theme on two websites/domains. ( Some authors allows staging*. domains though )
