Theme Update Notifications

We have been getting more and more theme update notifcations which is good but there is no way to see what the rev level is short of downloading and installing the theme. A couple of questions if anyone can comment:

  1. Does each notification mean there is a newer rev available or that we have not downloaded the theme update yet. We are getting multiple notifications on a theme in the same month which seems odd to us to be happening that often.
  2. Is there a way to determine the rev level of the update short of going through the download and install.

Hello,

  1. Updating is necessary to improve the theme and fix security and style issues.

  2. Many plugins update at the same time so updates may be continuous to increase compatibility.

  3. You just need to read the changelog, you will know what the updates are. That will help you know if you need to update or not
