Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, but I wanted to make sure you were all aware of something important for WordPress.
You’re probably aware of WordPress’ REST API project. The infrastructure for the REST API was merged into WordPress in version 4.4, allowing you to register API endpoints and the like.
There’s currently a merge proposal open for a set of standardised endpoints for accessing content within WordPress to be included in WordPress 4.7.
This is something we’ve all been waiting a long time for! But it’s not a done deal yet, it needs as much support as possible and good examples of use cases for why it should be included.
