The Upload limit based on approval rate is terrible!!!

Hi guys, I’ve been here for 10 years with two different accounts and recently got back into uploading some music.
I’ve had major placements in TV shows in the past years so I consider myself a professional musician/producer.

In the last batch of uploads, I’ve received a high decline rate, not because of the quality of the music but because the reviewers decided to be aggresive on the decline trigger. Some of the declines were:
Genres - Cinematic vs. classical (it can be both as you know, since when that’s a decline?)
Foreign language vocals - ( that’s a new one)
Lack of instrumental version - (since when that’s a decline?)

Anyway, the decline ratio limited my upload limit from 30 down to 2.
This is outrageous!!!
Some of the reviewers are artists on AJ, How do we know they are not killing the competition?
AJ support replied with a useless response and ignored the declines.
Anyone else encountered high decline rate recently?

That sounds bad.. sorry to hear that.

Hmm, those reasons sound strange and should at most lead to a soft rejection only.
I never encountered any of that.

It has been years since I received a hard-reject fortunately. I only have gotten soft-rejections recently because I forgot to fill in content-ID or I bounced a file wrong (24 bit vs 16 bit).
But always got approved after corrections.

I personally don’t think there is some kind of competition / bad blood among reviewers. There are tons of authors anyway.

But yeah, that’s frustrating.

Now I have also got a hard rejection for not uploading to the cinematic category.

Edit: contacted support and they were very helpful. The category thing is unfortunate because that can only be changed during the initial upload.
I asked them to see if they can possibly adjust it

I uploaded the item again and it got accepted.

I totally feel you on this  It’s weird, I uploaded some items to Envato Elements and they got accepted, but the same ones got hard rejected on Envato Market. Now my upload limit is down to just 5 items a month, which is pretty frustrating. But honestly, I think it’s all part of the bigger picture. Envato Market is getting really saturated, and it’s kinda slow compared to Envato Elements. Seems like they’re focusing more on high-quality, unique content these days.
