The type of music licence needed for something played in public

I have a client who is a UK commercial property developer. They have requested that I create a simple animation, similar to the rolling credits at the end of a film, displaying all the names of individuals who have worked on some of their projects. This animation will be displayed on a large screen at the entrance to one of their buildings which is private land but is accessible to the public during the day, It’s simple just a way for them to acknowledge everybody that has worked for them so doesn’t really fall into the film, advertising categories I don’t think. They’ve requested the animation to have music in the background and I’m wondering if anyone can advise which Envato licence would be required for this. They already have the PPL RRS licence in place. Thanks for your help.

Hello,

If it’s only for one screen in one location, then the standard license would be enough.

The only thing is, a public performance requires performance royalties and Envato’s license is not a waiver for those.

However, since they already have a PPL PRS license in place, then it should be all taken care of.
