Submitting WordPress Themes - An Envato Video Guide

We have a great new resource to share with WordPress authors! Our Theme and Web specialist, Stephen Cronin, has put together a video guide to help Authors when submitting their WP Themes.

The guide will likely have something for all Authors in the WordPress space, but is particularly helpful for new Authors, or people wanting to get a better understanding of what it is we are looking for!

Some of the topics covered are:

  • What does ‘good’ mean?
  • How to best prepare your theme prior to submitting
  • What can you expect after you submit?
  • How to deal with rejections
  • Common rejection reasons

We hope you find some value in it. Feel free to let us know below, and if there’s other content like this you would find valuable

Yes you reject something only for design! Hard reject.

When we have a PSD already approved, why would you reject the WP theme in design phase after approving the PSD?

If you say the Design standards are different in PSD template, then HTML template then WordPress hteme.

I would say make a check Mark in uploading item page, where user can tick i need this PSD template reviewed for the WordPress design.

That’s great. Many thanks

That’s a good idea. There should have an option for PSD template where author can check WordPress compatible design
