Sublime Text: Dreamweaver like template functionality?

#1

One thing i like about dreamweaver was its template (.dwt files) functionality, in which if we create any .html file from such template, any changing afterwards in those templates would also be applicable in all such .html files.

I wanted to know if there is any such functionality/extension available for sublime text editor?

Try to google if this is what you need - https://www.google.ru/search?newwindow=1&site=&source=hp&q=phpstorm+template+functionality&oq=phpstorm+template+functionality&gs_l=hp.3...1025.3872.0.4741.10.7.0.3.3.0.138.867.0j7.7.0…0…1c.1.45.hp…1.9.792.RJccXqA-Lmc

Seems there is no such extension available yet. I’ll have to use php include function uptil then, unless one is available.

Thanks for your reply BTW.

Hammer and CodeKit have HTML templating languages.

I don’t like sublime text though it’s light. I am a Windows user. I like PhpStorm.

I think there’s a plugin for Grunt which serve that functionality (edit file with sublime, grunt watch for file changes and run that plugin). But i do not remember the name.

PS. Dreamwaver is rubbish

I’ve found a way to achieve this functionality in sublime text. First install Node Js from here, then install Grunt (an awesome tool for development) on top of it, finally install this grunt extension and configure it as per documentation.

Although there are plenty of grunt extensions available for this task, but i’ve tried only this uptill now, and as a bonus it also supports passing variables through include command.

Hope it helps someone
